When one of your best friends calls you to tell you that he’s shooting a romantic sunset elopement in Santorini, and he wants you to shoot it with him… you don’t ask questions. You just say yes! And I’m so glad I did!
As a photographer, getting to work with one of your friends on a wedding is always a great experience. But getting to work with a friend as well as a couple like Amanda and Adam is just plain magic.
They were just so relaxed and full of fun. Elopements are always so intimate and unique. I feel they are the greatest honour to shoot as the couple are choosing to share something with you that no one else has been invited to.
They got dressed together in their suite at Mythical Blue in Fira. Amanda’s only request was for giant white balloons which were delivered to the roof of their hotel. After letting them float off into the distance, they made their way to the church on Skaros Rock where they said their vows and enjoyed a champagne sunset that I’m sure they will never forget.
To Amanda and Adam, thank you for sharing these special moments with Kimon and I. I hope your life together is as relaxed and joyful as your wedding day. I wish you many more exciting adventures together – and may they take you to all four corners of the earth.
