Italy has some of the most spectacular old cities in the world; Rome is possibly it’s most famous. Steeped in history and culture and boasting sites such as the Colleseum, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and St. Peter’s Basilica; it’s easy to understand why. There is beauty everywhere you look. Perfect for a Rome couple photography or engagement session.
On the second to last day of 2020, I met with Gianluca and Giorgia for their Rome couple photography session. Given the lockdown and travel restrictions, the city was empty – terrible for the economy, amazing for photographers!
So we decided to make the most of the situation and shoot in locations that would usually be impossible to work in unless we got up at 5 a.m.
Starting our session outside St. Peter’s Basilica, we then made our way towards the river and Castel Sant’Angelo. Making the most of the soft defused light to create dreamy images along the way. Their couple photography session ended on the romantic bridge in front of Castel Sant’Angelo with all it’s beautiful angel statues.
