Chloe and Filipe travelled all the way from America to celebrate their love in Greece. They opted for an elegant Villa Veneziano wedding in Lefkada; a place close to the brides heart.
Greece was a natural choice as Chloe’s father comes from a small village on the mainland, across from island. Chloe has many wonderful memories from summers spent in in the village growning up, as well as holidays with Filipe.
The couple chose to have a Greek Orthodox ceremony at Agia Kuriakh. The traditional yellow and white church is most easily accessed by boat. This meant guests got to enjoy stunning views of Lefkada’s east coast and Princess Islands as they sailed towards the ceremony.
After they said, ‘I do’, the bride and groom headed back to Villa Veneziano by private boat for their wedding reception and couple portraits. The villa combines unique Venetian architecture with luxury finishes and incredible views of the sea. While it operates as a boutique hotel, it doubles as a beautiful wedding venue in the summer months.
The reception tables were set up in the villa gardens. With a deep love for the olive trees that fill the island, Chloe chose lush olive garlands to line the tables. She added a little romance with candles and finished the look with blue linen details, reminiscent of the Ionian Sea.
After dinner, they made their way to the top terrace for dancing and dessert. The bride and groom set the party tone, including fireworks in their first dance. The music was a wonderful mix of Greek, Brazilian and America which had everyone on the dancefloor into the early hours of the morning.
